This year was my first girl's camp. I was kind of nervous to go because I had never been and didn't know what it was going to be like. It was fun because everyone was nice to each other. But we didn't sleep very much. I am excited to go again next year.

This is the Place Heritage Park: Knowledge Value Experience #3
The 13th Article of faith says that we should participate in activities that are uplifting. Our family went to Salt Lake City to the THIS IS THE PLACE HERITAGE PARK. This is a park that is dedicated to the early settlers of the Utah valley. It is where Brigham Young led the early saints. It was a blast! We got to see pioneer log cabins, iron and hang laundry, make butter and rolls, a school, pan for gold, make an arrowhead necklace, leather tooling, a blacksmith shop and ride a pony. The pioneers worked really hard. It made me appreciate all the things I have that make my life easier.
Swim Team 2013
This was our first swim meet in Wendell. I got a 5th place, a 4th place, a 3rd, place and 2 second places.
Swim team was hard. Sometimes I was very tired when I had to get up early in the morning for practice every day and then for swim meets on Saturdays. All my friends were sleeping in, but I got up early. But it all paid off because I got a lot of exercise and with lots of practice I was able to improve all my times for all my different strokes.
Uplifting Media: Choice and Accountability Personalized Value Experience #8
The activity day girls came to our house and I taught a lesson about being careful with technology and media. I told a story about a girl who was at a party and felt uncomfortable when some music was on that had bad language. We talked about the 13th article of faith and how the the music we listen to and the tv we watch should be uplifting. Then we watched the movie Finding Nemo on our big screen TV and ate popcorn.
Divine Nature 10 hour Project Sacrament Meeting at Park View
For 6 months, I went to Park View Care Center to help the elderly people have Sacrament meeting. My grandma and grandpa had a calling that was to be in charge of the sacrament meeting. I was only going to go until my 10 hours was up, but then I liked it so much that I went all the time. It ended up being a project that was 250 hours instead. I wheeled them into the room, passed out hymn books, set up chairs and then when Sacrament meeting was over, I wheeled the people back to their rooms and helped clean up. I feel bad for a lot of the people there. A lot of them are sick and can't do anything. But they are also fun to talk to. They are all very nice.

Saving for Sea World--Choice & Accountability #7
Our family wants to save money to buy a pass for the Living Planet Aquarium in Utah. We have to save our money before we can buy one. I am selling some of my toys on the internet and saving the money. We are also selling snow cones. The very first thing we do from our money is to pay tithing. I know if we pay tithing that Heavenly Father will help us to keep making money for our trip. We have been saving for about 3 months and are getting closer and closer. We will have our money saved by the time the new aquarium opens.
Knowledge Value Experience #2 Hair Styles
Some of the talents I have are clogging, singing, swimming, dancing, spelling and soccer. One of the things I want to get better at is doing hair styles. I got on the computer and watched some videos to see how to do different hair styles. I learned how to do a messy bun and a fishtail braid. I learned a little bit of how to do a French braid but I can't do it all the way yet. I have to keep working on it.
Clogging 2013--Individual Worth Personalized Value Experience #8
I started clogging 4 years ago. Clogging is very hard but I kept doing it because I liked it. I had to practice extra because it was hard. Our team went to Lagoon for a clogging competition and we got a 1st place. We were very excited. We clogged to a song called "Call Me Maybe"
The Flamingo Phantom Gets Foiled--Individual Worth #5
This year in 6th grade at White Pine School I was in drama club. We performed a melodrama called the Flamingo Phantom Gets Foiled. A melodrama is different from a musical because it doesn't have music or dancing but the audience gets to yell "boo" at the bad guy and "yay" at the good guy. I played the part of Candy Cupcake. She was a famous pastry chef. This play made me feel good about myself because I was able to perform in front of other classes at our school. It's scary to perform in front of classmates but I was able to do it.

Annie 2013--Individual Worth 10 hr Value Project
This summer I auditioned for the musical Annie. I got the part of Pepper. She is one of the orphans. She was not a very nice orphan. She was kind of a bully and a tom boy. I made lots of new friends. It was a lot of hard work but it turned out really fun. We practiced 6 days a week for 2-3 hours per night. We practiced for 7 weeks and performed for 1 1/2 weeks. We had to learn 5 songs and 3 dances. I learned how to take care of my mic. I learned about costuming. I love to sing, dance and act. Sometimes I had a hard time with the dances, but I did a lot of practicing and I ended up doing a good job. A lot of the orphans were a lot younger than me, so I kind of got to be like their big sister. I miss it like crazy and want to try out for another play very soon.
