Good Works Value Experience #1 Service to Others--Babysitting

When my Aunt KK had baby Samuel I was a big help to her by babysitting the younger kids.

We took trips to the park, went swimming and to Classic Skating.  I can help keep the kids busy and it gives Aunt KK a change to take care of Samuel and to rest because he keeps her up all night.

Faith Value Experience #4 The Sacrament

I taught our Family Home Evening Lesson about how the Sacrament helps us renew our baptism covenants.
We promise to take upon us the name of His son, always remember Him, and keep His commandments.  He promises us that we can always have His spirit to be with us, we can have membership in His church, we can be forgiven of our sins, and we can live with Heavenly Father again.  I'm grateful that I was baptized and glad that I can renew my promises every time I take the sacrament.

Faith Value Experience #2--Helaman and the Two Thousand Stripling Warriors

Stripling Warriors By Kevin Beckstrom

Our Family Home Evening tonight was about the 2000 Stripling Warriors.

The people of Ammon had promised God that they would not fight.  When the people of Nephi needed their help, the people of Ammon wanted to fight for freedom, but they didn't want to break their promise to God.  The sons had not made this promise, so they fought instead.  They asked Helaman to be their leader.  They were good boys.  They obeyed God and made good choices.  They had faith because they had been taught by their mothers.  The fought and helped the Nephites.  None of the warriors were killed, but some of them were hurt.  They were helped by God because they were faithful.

My mom, dad and family has taught me:  To have faith in Jesus and love my family and friends and do what your supposed to do when it needs to be done.

Choice & Accountability Value Experience #1 Read the Scriptures

As a family, we read all the scripture stories books.  Sometimes we only read one story and sometimes we would read a few stories.  I like doing this with my family.  After we would read each story we would talk about how we could use that story to help us in our own lives.

Individual Worth--Additional Value Experience-- Reviewing the Articlesof Faith

Sometimes it is difficult for me to remember things.  I learn stuff, but then I forget it kind of quickly.  I decided it would be a good idea for me to review and relearn the articles of faith.  Mom got me an app on my phone where I can fill in the blanks.  It took a while, but I got all of them right.
